Front End Web Developer
Milton Keynes | 35-40k
A passionate Front End Web Developer is urgently required by a web development and design team based in Milton Keynes. The Front End Web Developer will be working on a wide range of web based applications and web sites in line with technical and design/branding specifications. The Senior Front End Web Developer will be motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming.   The successful Senior Front End Web Developer will be expected to hit the ground running to develop new user-facing features, build reusable code and libraries for future use, ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, optimize application for maximum speed and scalability and assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work closely with the design team and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.   From a technology perspective you will have extensive understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5, CSS3 with an understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS. You will have a proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery and AngularJS, cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them, code versioning tools Git and TFS, experienced in responsive design and hold a good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX! SQL Server Database Administrator
Milton Keynes | 44-48k
A SQL Server DBA is required to join a dynamic, fast paced team based in Milton Keynes. Working in a growing department which functions as an in-house full-service digital agency, you will work closely with the Head of Data, Infrastructure, DevOps, Developers and Testers.   The SQL Server DBA will be required to implement solutions as defined by Head of Data. DBA duties will include maintaining and monitoring databases including file management, indexes, statistics, backups, security. You will be responsible for High Availability, Managing, maintaining and monitoring production databases using HA technologies such as Windows Clustering and Availability Groups.   As part of this role the SQL Server DBA will be required to perform some development duties which will see you create and develop database objects to meet complex business requirements using SSDT for source control. You will be expected to be comfortable troubleshooting and resolving database exceptions/errors and performance related issues and provide support to the network to resolve data issues and other ad hoc tasks such as providing data feeds to internal and external consumers as required.   The SQL Server DBA will possess experience of SQL Server 2012 and ideally some 2016, a passion for writing high quality T-SQL and strong experience in SSRS and SSIS. Scrum Master / Agile Coach

Scrum Master / Agile Coach required to join a rapidly expanding engineering team in Milton Keynes. As a Scrum advocate you will be tasked with rreviewing the current adoption of Scrum practices within a development team (10 engineers), benchmark current state by producing empirical and qualitative evidence and come up with recommendations/timescales for improvement and work with the team to continuously implement those improvements.  As an experienced Certified Scrum Master you must be able to demonstrate experience of ccoaching development teams and product owners on effective user story writing utilising a range of techniques such as impact mapping, story mapping, etc. This is great opportunity for an Agile expert to create a transparent, open and honest environment that encourages knowledge sharing and collaboration through the use of physical Agile artefacts (Post-it notes, visible release plans, SCRUM boards, etc) and facilitate SCRUM ceremonies whilst creating a fun and creative environment with a focus on delivery quality.  As a Certified Scrum Master you must be able to demonstrate experience of working in the enterprise environment, show evidence of pro-active contribution to the Agile movement (blogs, articles, presentations, etc) and a clear understanding of LEAN startup methodology and feedback loops. C# ASP.Net Software Development Team Leader

Our Milton Keynes based client who are a FTSE-250 eCommerce Business with an award winning multi-channel eCommerce Platform are undergoing some really exciting times and are once again looking to expand their expert development team with an established Team leader.   As a Software Development Team Leader you will be expected to provide support and guidance across the Full Software Development lifecycle (requirements analysis to delivery), work to agile methodologies such as SCRUM and KANBAN, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily duties of the Development Team, and acting as a direct report for a number of Software & Senior developers, ensuring that they continue to deliver software that meets the required development standards.   As part of the role the Software Development Team Leader will be expected to provide regular 1 to 1 meetings and annual reviews of developers within the team, understand business requirements (user stories) and help the development team successfully deliver a technical solution which meets the requirement. You will be expected to define and ensure the adherence to quality guidelines and follow testing approaches such as unit testing and test-driven development (TDD) to ensure a ‘right first time' delivery of software. The Development Team Leader will collaborate with the wider scrum team and scrum master to ensure a correct and working solution is delivered every time.   The Software Development Team Leader will hold an in-depth understanding of SOLID Principles of software development and purpose and application of software patterns with proficiency in C#, .Net, MVC, Restful Web API, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, SQL Server (TSQL), Unit Testing. An understanding of IOC and dependency injection strategies as well as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery strategies and Azure are seen highly advantageous.
