IT Security Analyst

Job Title:  IT Security Analyst Location:  Stoke-on-Trent (On-site, 5 days per week) Salary:  Up to £40,000 per annum About the Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented  IT Security Analyst  to join our dynamic team in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with around 2 years of experience in cloud security, IT security best practices, and security compliance. You'll play a key role in protecting our digital assets, supporting cloud initiatives, and ensuring our teams are well-trained in security protocols. Key Responsibilities Cloud Security:  Support the implementation and monitoring of cloud security controls and best practices. Security Questionnaires:  Draft, review, and respond to security questionnaires from clients, partners, and auditors. Training:  Deliver engaging security awareness training sessions to staff and stakeholders. Communication:  Liaise with technical and non-technical teams, translating complex security concepts into clear, actionable advice. Incident Support:  Assist in investigating and responding to security incidents and vulnerabilities. Documentation:  Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and documentation. About You Experience:  Around 2 years in an IT security or cloud security role. Communication:  Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences. Cloud:  Familiar with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their security features. Questionnaires:  Experience writing and responding to security questionnaires and compliance documents. Training:  Confident in delivering security awareness training to groups. React Front End Engineer Remote

Experienced React Front End Software Engineers required by Fintech success story. Working remotely (anywhere within the UK) and happy to get together once a month for engineering brainstorming in London, this is a fantastic opportunity to be the hands-on go-to re everything front end and react. Total package worth over £100k As an experienced React Front End Software Engineer, you'll be interested in designing and developing high quality React applications. You'll be collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design software architectures, and implement software features. You'll be creating and enhancing high quality React-based web interfaces, and our React Native mobile app, as they're used by an ever-increasing number of people in the UK. I must reiterate this would be ideal for a software engineering enthusiast as opposed to an individual who just wishes to develop websites. Engineering will look to you (and the team) to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and coding standards. As well as developing and maintaining software testing suites, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, you'll also participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability. SQL Server DBA to join a IT Systems Integration team. This role will be an expansion to an already existing well established team of DBAs/Engineers and Analysts. You will be working with some very talented people who are always looking to move forward with the latest and greatest technology, this role will demand great attention to detail and an analytical mind-set. It will be a chance for someone who is looking to get into the data world or expand on their analytical knowledge and mind-set with a new challenge.   Key Responsibility: T-SQL Development champion. Working closing with IT Development teams and Production DBAs on troubleshooting Production systems. Work within the Infrastructure & Architecture team as a SQL Developer. Owning the SQL performance enhancement projects for the group. Understanding the in-house application architecture. Liaising with 3 rd  parties to solve problems with bespoke systems. Enforcing group security controls and best practices. Documenting and implementing all SQL configuration change. Assist DBA's with SQL related issues. Development of data collection processes.   Skills Required: Excellent knowledge of T-SQL and SQL Development best practices. Minimum 5 years SQL Developer experience. Excellent working knowledge of full Microsoft SQL Server stack (SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS). SQL Server clustering Exposure to automation deployment tools such as Azure DevOps, OctopusDeploy. Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-on, HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery).

SQL Database Engineer Azure Datawarehouse We are seeking an experienced MS SQL (Azure and T-SQL) Engineer/DBA to join our clients growing development team. Outside of IR35 fully remote and paying in the region of £350-400pd.   This role will involve evaluating and improving the existing database design. Improving the database performance and optimising any SQL views and stored procedures. Maintaining the SQL database and providing support to the engineering teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the data management strategy, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and scalable solutions.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   -       Providing database support to developers, analysts and testers. -       Review Database SQL Git PRs and deploying these to production -       Review database design to improve performance and maintainability. -       Ensuring database integrity and security -       Maintaining SQL database and any SQL Jobs -       Making data changes to the production database -       SQL Performance, Optimisation and capacity planning. -       Managing database builds and rollouts. -       Management of SQL Backups -       Management of Azure SQL server auto scaling, Azure Fabric and Azure Datawarehouse -       Database Administration One off interview and onboarding within the next 3-4 weeks, initially for 3 months.
