Azure DevOps Platform Engineer

Azure DevOps Platform Engineer (Contract - 6 Months) £600 per day | Outside IR35 | Fully Remote (UK Only) We are partnering with a globally recognised health technology organisation to recruit an experienced Azure DevOps / Platform Engineer for an initial 6-month contract. This role sits within a high-performing Cloud Engineering team, working on secure, scalable, cloud-native systems that support critical, real-world applications. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful, high-impact work while helping shape a modern Azure platform with a strong focus on security, automation, and reliability. The Role You will join a collaborative team of six engineers, taking ownership of designing, building, and operating Azure-based platforms. This role requires a hands-on engineer who can deliver well-structured, production-grade infrastructure using Terraform, with minimal oversight. All infrastructure is defined as code and deployed via CI/CD pipelines, with a strong emphasis on modular design, maintainability, and alignment to business rules. Cloud Security Engineer (Azure / Terraform)

We're sourcing a Cloud Security Engineer (Azure / Terraform) for a 6-month UK-based contract (fully remote). This role is ideal for a hands-on Azure / Terraform contractor who can quickly take ownership and deliver secure, production-grade infrastructure through code. You'll be embedded in a modern Azure environment, leading security engineering initiatives with a strong focus on Terraform-first delivery. Expect to spend the majority of your time writing clean, reusable modules, embedding security controls, and pushing everything through CI/CD. Key deliverables: Build and enforce secure Azure infrastructure using Terraform (modular, scalable, production-ready) Implement perimeter security with Azure Front Door + WAF (OWASP, bot protection, rule tuning) Define governance using Azure Policy as code (networking, firewall, compliance controls) Secure AKS workloads with container scanning and runtime protections Design and roll out Conditional Access and identity protections in Microsoft Entra ID (P2) Harden Azure DevOps pipelines using managed identities and least-privilege principles Drive risk visibility and remediation via Microsoft Defender for Cloud You'll suit this contract if you're a strong coder with Terraform, security-focused by default, and comfortable delivering autonomously without hand-holding.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, data-driven environment where you will play a key role in shaping and optimising broadcast advertising workflows and systems. Key Responsibilities Own the design, development, and operation of the core backend services that power our consumer-facing products and internal operational tooling. Lead the architecture and management of identity and user state, including authentication, profiles, preferences, permissions, and privacy-conscious data handling. Strong API design experience, including clear contracts, versioning, and backwards compatibility. Python-first experience, ideally with FastAPI or a similar framework.
