Senior C# .Net Developer – Remote working.

Vastly experienced C# .Net Developer required by a rapidly expanding start up software co within the healthcare industry. Driven purely by its success in the market, we are now in the process of assisting with their engineering expansion to support the growth rate and plans to expand overseas.

The .Net engineering team are focussed on developing a scalable C#.Net based architecture for the new server platform. This will require the following technical skills: Strong C# coding, Unit Testing (ability to develop good unit tests in any XUnit based tool), Agile Development, API Development, Software architecture (Depending on seniority, a good knowledge of software design and architecture is required) and SQL Server.

There will be a complete redevelopment of the architecture. The new services will be deployed in Amazon AWS. In addition, a web client is being developed using React and JavaScript.

The focus is quality working software. To ensure quality, engineers develop unit tests with independent automated testing being used for integration and to end testing. My client has adopted an agile development approach based on Scrum. User Stories are defined by the Product Management team and used to drive the development of the product. Sprints are used to timebox development and ensure regular delivery to the business. A detailed sprint planning session is used to identify the work needed to deliver each user story. Daily stand-ups are used to track progress and ensure blocking issues are handled rapidly. A retrospective is held at the end of each sprint to identify what worked, what didn't and how to improve. Product Management uses Show & Tell sessions to show progress to the business and illicit early feedback.

My client's HQ is Central London based, however, the engineering team is distributed. With a completely flexible approach, engineers are able to work from their UK home full-time with approximately one visit to the office each 3 weeks.
