Linux Build Engineer – DevOps.

Linux Build Engineer required to be the go between for the infrastructure and development team for renowned government back organisation based in Westminster, London.

As successful Linux Engineer you will be responsible for managing the build and deployment of the project, through all environments. Contributing to key components and shared common services, undertaking cross-functional engineering projects, working in small teams with other engineers in different knowledge spheres, building supportable, sustainable and reliable services within the Linux development orientated environment.

You must have the following skills and be able to work on client site in Central London at least 4 days a week.

• Knowledge and experience of installation and management of hardware (servers, storage, routers etc.)
• Knowledge of and experience with Docker, Postgres, and installation and management of the CoreOS
• Knowledge of and experience with Git, Github, Gitlab
• Knowledge of and experience with nginx, HAProxy, Unicorn
• Reasonable fluency in at least one of: python, go, BASH
• Knowledge of HIDS, NIDS and security hardening
• Experience of IP Networking and physical networks
• Solid understanding of CI and build engineering
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (Puppet/Ansible)
• Data-centre and local systems administration
• DV clearance preferred SC considered
