Lead Enterprise Architect.

Lead Enterprise Architect (split Croydon/Hendon/Westminster) required to provide overall end-to-end technical design and challenge to ensure this central government department's technology roadmap is defined, fit for purpose and achievable. Occasional travel to other sites within London and partner estates may be required

The main responsibilities of the post are:

• Primary senior interface for technical requirements and product design.

• Analyse existing systems to ensure adequate security.

• Recommend technologies or improvements to enhance systems based on IT Knowledge and analysis.

• Be technical design authority (TDA) and lead designs for new solutions and services.

• Document new technical design for integration and implementation.

• Create detailed plans for integration of new systems architecture into existing infrastructure.

• Evaluate success of projects to identify best practice and be an all-round people's person.

• Define and help shape the strategy for engineering best practice for public cloud based services including AWS.

ESSENTIAL

• Strong technical leadership skills

• Preference for the leverage of commodity integrated market products.

• Strong track-record in managing and delivering complex technologies.

• Ability to define and manage a technical roadmap

• Detailed knowledge of technical requirements across technologies.

• Experience in ensuring solutions are robust, resilient, appropriately implemented, secured, tested and documented.

• Ability to present information clearly with appropriate language.

• Excellent knowledge of network technologies.

• Deep understanding of the design and engineering of Infrastructure, ECU and associated platforms.

• Familiar with ITIL

• Must have SC clearance

• Experience working in Government or highly regulated environments and would be nice if the architect has worked on Policing systems

• Practical experience technology improvement and innovation including Cloud, cloud-migration, Data Centre design and networks.

10 Month contract outside of IR35 available with an immediate start.
