IT Security Incident Manager.

IT Security Incident Manager is required by an expanding IT Security team based in Milton Keynes. The IT Security Incident Manager will lead and manage the team, managing security incidents, threats and vulnerabilities and ensuing that stakeholders are kept informed and that internal teams & 3rd parties are driving towards the same resolution.

The role of the IT Security Incident manager will be to identify potential vulnerabilities in the technical estate and proposing fit-for-purpose solutions that address the immediate and longer term weaknesses. You will be expected to develop, implement and maintain industry-standard policies, processes, procedures and artefacts that drive consistent management and resolution of security incidents.  You will also be expected to

• Work with projects and Operational teams to embed Security by Design into ways of working
• Work with the 3^rd party supplier of Managed Security Service to implement fit for purpose monitoring of the technical estate. Reviewing output, identifying improvements and participating in supplier management activities
• On identification of a potential security incident, lead investigation activities and manage actions that address immediate and long term threats

The IT Security Incident Manager will boast 2+ years experience in the IT Security function of a regulated organisation handling IT security incidents and Security threat management. You will have demonstrable evidence of contributing Security subject matter expertise to projects and Operations teams. You will also hold relevant security qualifications.
