IT Security Engineer.

An IT Security Engineer is required by a large organisation based in Milton Keynes. This is a very key role to the infrastructure security of the company and will require someone who has their fingers on the pulse of new and emerging technologies.

The successful candidate will be a determined individual who wants to focus on expanding their IT Security experience. You will be required to assist with the implementation and maintenance of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) that embraces best practice and compliance with ISO 27001/2

You will be working closely with a small team who are very experienced in managing security policies within a large complex environment and have experience auditing security controls. The IT Security team is responsible for maintaining IT security policies & ensuring robust controls are in place to monitor compliance. The role includes liaising directly with business representatives / corporate clients on security matters.

The IT Security Officer will possess knowledge of regulation and practice for managing security governance, knowledge of core security industry standards, e.g. ISO27001/2 and current knowledge of security threats, vulnerabilities and changes in the threat landscape.
