IT Infrastructure Architect .

Infrastructure Architect required for busy IT team based in Milton Keynes. The Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for the design of key IT infrastructure platforms & applications as part of a team delivering IT Services across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain technical designs for the IT Infrastructure, ensuring the design provides the availability, capacity and functionality required.
• Ensure management systems are in place to monitor for any faults / functional degradation.
• Ensure the design incorporates the required security elements to adhere to security best practices (including systems to monitor security compliance).
• Identify changes required & collaborate with other teams to test and implement changes.
• Provide technical assistance to the Infrastructure Support team when required, including where assistance is needed outside core business hours.
• Keep up to date with new & emerging technologies relevant to role.

Key Technical Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of core Microsoft applications including Server & Client Operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, Hyper-V, and System Center.
• Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise server & storage solutions.
• High-level understanding of network concepts (routing, switching, access controls).
