Head of IT Security with 5-10years Security expertise (CISSP or similar a must) required urgently by UK leading insititution.

The Head of IT Security will sponsor IT Security initiatives with senior stakeholders, providing expertise and guidance on how the organisation's information and systems should be protected.  You will lead the Information Security team in providing day-to-day IT security and compliance services, guidance on the implementation of new secure and compliant technology solutions and delivery of a programme of security remediation and continuous improvement.

You will boast 5-10years+ in an IT Security function and ideally hold an CISSP or similar qualification. You will be at home in defining, implementing and communicating IT Security strategy, standards and policies (user and technology solutions) with senior leaders / key stakeholders 3^rd party vendors across the business to understand their security requirements and understanding emerging external threats and compliance requirements and developing a pragmatic IT security strategy to address risks. Leading from the front you will hold a deep understanding of change delivery and IT operations processes as the organisation evolves its Security and risk management.

Supporting the CIO, the Compliance Officer and Data Protection Officer to ensure that the technical estate and the processes that underpin it, meet FCA, PCI DSS and GDPR requirements.  This includes for example, confirming compliance with SYS8.
