My client based in London is a UK leading provider of professional services including audit, tax and advisory.  Due to their dynamic and successful area of business my client is now seeking an experienced Tax Developer to work as part of a software development team working on a variety of Tax Technology solutions and implementations.

Responsibilities: -

The ideal candidate will support the team by acting as a technical specialist and a link with the business experts.  To encourage and maintain a high level of communication between the developers and business experts and prepare time estimates and scheduling for testing tasks.  You will undertake all aspects of system, functional and non-functional testing and carry out automated testing (80% manual and 20% automated).  You will also assist in the building of unit tests and prepare user acceptance test (UAT) scripts.  To design, review and improvement of user stories, test plans, test cases and other documents related to testing.  Automated skills are seen advantageous, as going forward my client is looking to utilise an automated approach.

Background: -

You will come from a professional Financial Services/Tax environment and have experience of software testing along with experience with scripting/program language within a commercial environment (this would be advantageous).

Skill required: -

• ·         Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss technical details with team members but also to explain these issues in a clear and understandable way to clients.
• ·         Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with a highly methodical approach to working.
