A SQL Server DBA is required to join a dynamic, fast paced team based in Milton Keynes. Working in a growing department which functions as an in-house full-service digital agency, you will work closely with the Head of Data, Infrastructure, DevOps, Developers and Testers.

 

The SQL Server DBA will be required to implement solutions as defined by Head of Data. DBA duties will include maintaining and monitoring databases including file management, indexes, statistics, backups, security. You will be responsible for High Availability, Managing, maintaining and monitoring production databases using HA technologies such as Windows Clustering and Availability Groups.

 

As part of this role the SQL Server DBA will be required to perform some development duties which will see you create and develop database objects to meet complex business requirements using SSDT for source control. You will be expected to be comfortable troubleshooting and resolving database exceptions/errors and performance related issues and provide support to the network to resolve data issues and other ad hoc tasks such as providing data feeds to internal and external consumers as required.

 

The SQL Server DBA will possess experience of SQL Server 2012 and ideally some 2016, a passion for writing high quality T-SQL and strong experience in SSRS and SSIS. Experience of working with large-scale public-facing websites and holding Microsoft SQL Server Certification is highly desirable. Please apply now for this challenging yet rewarding position!
