Senior Integration Java engineer – Milton Keynes.

A Senior Lead integration Engineer required ASAP by leading Satellite engineering and data feeds organisation. Based in Milton Keynes (with car parking). Where the need for real time data is an absolute necessity you will be proficient with Java (7/8), Linux, UNIX, Tomcat and Oracle databases. It is advantageous if you have worked within OO design (SOLID principles ideal), Continuous integration/delivery (GIT, Jenkins, JIRA) and Agile Software Delivery.

As Lead Engineer you will 1) Develop and maintain resilient, scalable and performant (sub 1 second) systems for processing real-time data coming from third party data providers via a number of delivery mechanisms and protocols such as HTTP, FTP and web sockets 2) implement and contribute to the future architecture of the systems responsible for integration with third party data providers and delivery of a data product to our customers 3) produce technical roadmap alongside the architecture team to set a future vision for the data integration and distribution platform and 4) lead, coach and develop a small team of engineers (1-2 engineers). 80% writing code and 20% coaching, objective setting, personal development, etc.
