IT Manager / Senior Support Engineer

Established global company are currently looking to recruit an IT Manager for their team. This is a hands on role and so a Senior Support Engineer will be considered as there are no man management responsibilities.

With strong commercial IT experience you will have a mixed background of supporting both Apple Mac’s and Windows based operating systems in addition to networking, server maintenance, SQL databases, LAMP environment and user support. Daily you will take full responsibility for:

-   Hardware: installations, upgrades, managing third party contracts, servers (including backups) and networking equipment, support and training

-   Software: installations, licensing and support, support and training

-   Comms: Internet, email, VoIP phone systems

-   Remote support for satellite offices

-   Budget management and review of future systems

The role is based in Colchester and is commutable from the areas of Chelmsford, Ipswich, Braintree and surrounding areas.

This is an urgent position with interviews taking place ASAP.
